The Owner
Louanna Mantheakis is the founder of myblue. Even though she is of Greek origin Louanna often sees herself as a “citizen of the world”. She was born in Melbourne Australia, grew up in Athens Greece, studied in Oregon, USA (University of Oregon, International Studies program) and lived and owned her own real estate business in Africa in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where her family has been living for over a century.
In Tanzania she built a Santorini house on a coconut hill, calling it “Santorini in Africa” showing how much she missed this Island and its beauty. She is now living her dream after investing in cave houses and beach villas in Oia Santorini, renovating and decorating all to luxury status offering only the highest level of hospitality to guests from around the globe. She enjoys being in the hospitality business as she loves people and for this she makes sure they are treated well and pampered as much as possible. MyBlue Santorini is a family business, owned by Louanna and her husband Albert. It is operated by a wonderful team of the villas manager, the reservation hostess and the housekeeping and maintenance staff.
She lives happily with her family in Santorini during the tourist season and in Athens the rest of the year. Louanna is fluent in Greek & English and can communicate in Swahili and Spanish (with some understanding of Italian and French). She will be an excellent host to you and your family and can easily become your lifelong friend.
